Step 1: Purchase Online Ferry Ticket From Singapore To Tg. Pengelih

Start by checking the ferry schedule from Singapore to Tanjung Pengelih.

Note: The ferry only operates from Friday to Sunday with 1 trip per day.

Step 2: Getting To Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (Singapore)

There are 3 buses you can take to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal:

Step 3: Obtain Ferry Boarding Pass From Ticket Counter

Once you reach the terminal, head to the BatamFast ticket counter (easy to find with its bright orange booth) to collect your boarding pass.

Note: Even if you’ve purchased your ticket online, you will need to have your physical boarding pass. Collect your boarding pass once you’ve pass your passport to the counter staff.

 

Please arrive at least one hour in advance before boarding time at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. During non-peak season, you can reach 30 minutes before boarding.

Step 4: Go Through Singapore Customs Before Boarding

Refer to the dashboard for updates on the ferry status. When it is time to board, it will change its status to ‘Boarding Now’.

You will be waiting at this departure hall for the arrival of the ferry.

Note: On off-peak days, the custom clearance process can take as fast as 10 minutes. Hence, there is no need to rush.

 

Step 5: Take A 45-minute Ride To Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal

The ferry will depart at 10:40am sharp.

You can choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area is quieter, with an air-conditioned space, that is perfect if you need a short nap.

The outdoor space located at the upper deck is louder due to the engine noises. It is also a smoking area. However, you will get the best sea views from this section.

Step 7: Find Your Transport For Your Next Desination

To get around Pengerang town, you will need to arrange your own land transport from Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal in advance.

There are NO Desaru shuttle bus from the terminal and it is difficult to hail a taxi or e-hailing car in this area.
