Each of the buses listed below only go to JB CIQ First Link. JB CIQ Link is where you’ll need to get off for immigration clearance.

If you are planning to go to Komtar JB CC or City Square JB, simply walk from JB CIQ First Link to JB Sentral by following the signs, then from JB Sentral to JB CC or City Square JB.

CW1 Bus: Kranji MRT to JB CIQ First Link

The CW1 bus is one of the trio of Causeway Link bus routes that crosses the Causeway, alongside the CW2 and CW5.

CW1 is the most popular option. It has the shortest journey time (excluding waiting time) from Kranji MRT to JB CIQ First Link.

Few Things To Note:

  • From Kranji MRT station, take exit C to the bus stop. (bus stop code: 45139)
  • The buses are very frequent, arriving every 2-3 minutes.
  • On weekends, expect huge crowds, so leave your house early.
  • On Friday after office hours, many Malaysians will take this route back to JB. Please expect serious congestion.

Tips:

  • If you don’t want to queue and don’t mind standing throughout the ride (could be 1 hour during weekends or evenings), skip ahead of the queue.
  • Wait until the bus is nearly full, then get on it. Most people in the queue won’t board anymore when there are no seats left.
  • After your passport has been stamped at Woodlands Checkpoint, you can board any CW bus to JB CIQ First Link. Show your ticket to the bus driver and you’ll be let in.

  • It’s about 15 minutes walk either from Bugis MRT Station or Rachor MRT Station to Queen Street Bus Terminal.
  • From Bugis MRT Station, take exit A or B, walk along Victoria Street until you meet Arab Street, and turn left to Queen Street Terminal (bus terminal code: 01109).
  • From Rochor MRT, take either exit A or B, walk towards Ophir Road, turn left to Rochor Canal Road, then turn right to Ban San Street. (bus terminal code: 01109)
  • This is the only 24 hours operating SG – JB cross border bus.
  • Queen Street Bus Terminal is an outdoor bus terminal.

However, if the CW4G bus is out of service, then the CW7 will replace CW4G. In that case, it will go all the way to Gelang Patah Terminal.
